Event: My name is Ali Potasky, and I am currently a Junior at The Williston Northampton School. I have been obsessed with horses as long as I can remember. As soon as I started riding and drawing horses in preschool, I was hooked. As a student at Williston, I have had the opportunity to take drawing, design, painting, and photography classes. I aspire to capture the mood, expression and personality of the equine athlete, not just the physical form. The extended trot and half pass are very exciting visually, but some of my more compositionally simple pieces are my most intimate. I also love producing expressive horse portraits in any medium.
