Samples of previous grants, copies of the 2008 grant application, and members of the Cultural Council will be on hand to answer your questions about applying for Cultural Council funding. Additionally, for 2008, the Cultural Council is specifically requesting applications on the theme described below, and encourages collaborations across the many individuals and organizations working within the community.

Easthampton Intersections: Farmlands & Factories

A remarkable number of opportunities exist in Easthampton due to its distinctive past as both an agricultural center and an industrial town. While the uses of these spaces have evolved over the years, Easthampton possesses singular access to 'rural' and 'labor' traditions. Through utilizing local farms, conservation land, working and converted industrial buildings, citizens of Easthampton have an insight into many facets of New England history that can be explored through the arts and other cultural events.

The postmark deadline for grant applications is October 15, 2007. For further information, visit http://www.massculturalcouncil.org or email eculturalcouncil@aol.com
