Looking for something fun? Come to Art Walk Easthampton on the "Second Saturday" of the month from 5-8 pm. Locations all over Easthampton host free visual, music and performance art events in an energetic sampling of local, regional and national talent. Just look for large, yellow Art Walk banners outside each participating venue.

There's lots of free parking all over town, many locations are in easy walking distance of others and you can catch a free lift on the brightly colored "La Guagua" shuttle bus.

So grab a friend and come explore Easthampton's best galleries, shops, restaurants, pubs and music venues during the Art Walk. Some venues have posted descriptions of their next event below:

Event: Create Art Studio teams up with The Nashawannuck Gallery to offer an art class open house during the July ArtWalk. Kids of all ages can discover their inner artist while participating in arts and crafts projects facilitated by instructors. Information on the summer art camps will also be available. Open to all ages. Age appropriate snacks and beverages will be offered.

Event: Trace Meek will exhibit paintings and some sculptural pieces this month at the Easthampton City Arts Gallery. An artist's reception will be held on July 12, from 5 - 8 p.m. These paintings are emotional outpourings in response to poignant encounters with places and people. Venue: Elusie Gallery	Address: 43 Main St.
Event: "My work is an exploration of the relationship between food and identity. My aim is to question our automatic responses and unrealized prejudices towards a certain group of foods I call the "American Diet". I hope my work playfully challenges the viewer with bizarre juxtapositions calling attention to the absurdity of the unconscious, predisposed "meanings" and value systems we project onto the things that we eat. I hope that these pieces will one day serve as a document of the food and "food products" of the our time and how we relate to them." My work is a synthesis of the values of Pop Art and Dada in the tradition of by Eduardo Paolozzi and (to a lesser extent) R.B. Kitaj.

Event: Tony and Paul Rocha, well-known Valley favorites of a few years ago, bring their inimitable and tuneful style to Luthier's Co-Op. Tony brings his trio - two guitars, three voices - in from eastern Mass. for an acoustic-electric selection of favorites. Please stop by, enjoy a few tunes, and make the travel worth their while.

Event: No doubt you've heard the rumors! Now, come hear for yourselves. Brought to you by the Easthampton Cultural Council - The Carol Abbe Smith Ensemble features Carol on vocals, Doug Bilodeau trumpet, Nancy Janosen flute/tenor sax, Jon Oltman bass, Rich Mayer drums and more musicians will be added! Treat yourself to two sets of wonderful jazz at the gazebo. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and pack a picnic supper.
